The following soldiers are members of Pte. G. M. Pirie's family who served in the Second World War. In addition, his brother, Russell Fraser Pirie, served in World War One and Two.
Pt. George Gregor McKay, H/87806. RCASC. Roland, Manitoba. Trained at Portage-la-Prairie and Red Deer. Went overseas in June 1942. Killed on April 2nd, 1944. Buried Moro River Canadian War Cemetery, Italy. Link to Canadian Virtual Memorial record and photograph.
